The Transporter is just very accurate. It's measurements show this. I think a lot of people are used to coloration that produces subjectively more pleasing sound. For instance, I know when I use my old CD player, the bass sounds a bit more wooly and the highs are softer. Much warmer sound, which is actually nice for bright recordings, but I know it's not as accurate.
