My opinion is very positive... IMHO, smaller "bookshelf" speakers are often capable of the best imaging, but suffer from lack of deep bass. That's one of the reasons I'm a bit of fan of the Satellite/Subwoofer combo. Let the sub handle the deep bass, which the sat can't do anyway, and you'll find the mids open up even more.
