Well, if you have a very good DAC, the sound should be better with the digital outs of the transporter than with those of the SB3. But I doubt very much that the Lavry DA-10 is a better DAC than the one in the transporter. It could well be that if you buy the transporter, the Lavry DAC has to retire.
Another option would be to wait for the Touch. From the first reports, the digital outs are better sounding than the SB3 and you will be able to play 24/96 files.
