Indeed. There is no need to measure  "bit-perfectness" since it is
assured by virtue of the fact that HDCD or DTS-encoded rips just
wouldn't work at all if a bit was altered!.



If you want something more involved, you can use a soundcard with
s/pdif input that can lock to the s/pdif clock (most/all do) and record
the s/pdif stream playing out of the SB. Then compare (using ADM which
removes trailing/preceding silence and time-aligns the recording) to
discover they are identical within the theoretical limits of the bit
depth.

I suspect you meant something slightly different? It's only partially
about the bits - that's the easy bit.
