If one is only going to spend that much money and has the room, I would
spend every penny on true floor standing full range speakers. The amp
will drive a good variety of 3 or 4 way floor standing speakers and the
tighter lower bass and improved midrange will amaze one for years to
come. At which time, one would be able to upgrade to a better amp.

Remember that your amp is integrated so if you're not going to drop to
using the TP as a digital source single source pre-amp, you will also
need to buy a pre-amp.

With your equipment, my path would be to buy a minimum of a 3 way floor
standing speaker (maybe Thiel or Vandersteen) using the current amp.
Later when more funds were available, I would look for a good deal on a
better used amp with Balanced XLR inputs and run the Transporter
straight into the amp.

One would be amazed at the sound a great pair of 3 or 4 way floor
standing speakers can deliver when being driven by a decent amp being
driven only by the Balance XLRs straight from the Transporter.

If it just has to be monitor/bookshelf type speakers due to room or
space issues (WAF issues), then I say spend the money on Adam Speakers
or AVI ADM9.1 Speakers with subwoofer.

If there are any HiFi shops near you, I say go have a listen and don't
hesitate to take your amp with you when you audition speakers.
