Not so fast....

I went from a Duet receiver connected digitally via the optical digital
output to a Headroom desktop amp with a built-in DAC to a Touch
connected digitally via the optical digital output to the same Headroom
desktop amp and I notice a not insignificant difference in the sound.
With the Touch the sound is slightly more detailed with cleaner and
leaner (in a very good way) bass. In my opinion, well worth the $300
cost of the Touch.

In addition the DAC in the Touch may prove to sound better then the DAC
tomasito is using in his current system. Plus with a Touch he gets to
move the receiver to his garage and enjoy his music collection while
puttering around in the garage!
