This whole thread is bizarre. The only issue here is whether or not your ethernet cable is accidentally causing a ground loop (only possible with shielded cat - which is why it should not be used) or if it is providing a pathway for stray RFI/EMI to enter your DAC - again most likely with shielded cat (via the ground plane).
