I won´t comment to much on a vendors chord but i did some homework with these things. In the days of Powerline and other things polluting the mains there is some chance a power chord can act as lowpass filter due to the way it is build and therefore may influence the electronics behind. BUT! A simple coil filter can do that 1000 times better with ease and much cheaper. I did some audible testing with speakers connecting to the mains with capacitors and had a listen but this is "not to be meant to do at home" for people that don´t know about it. It is dangerous! Just looking at a mains transfomator collecting dust in the corner of my room...
