I used Cat6 and I set up a gigabit network, including the router and switches. Not because I need that for the SB players, including my Transporter, but when I rewired my new home (well its a very old home, but new to me), it was a "rounding error" difference in all the work to use CAT6 vs CAT5e. And the faster speed is really more about the future vs what I currently have. Not sure if the gigabit/CAT6 is helping me with video streaming (netflix, etc.), but it can't hurt.
