You probably have seen my post about my garage conversion which starts tomorrow.
Should I run cat5 cable from my existing lounge round front of the house, down the side of the house and into the garage and will be hidden in the new stud wall ? What's the maximum distance for cat5, can't remember ? Alternatives use the built in wireless connection in the Squeezebox touch ? I have a wireless n access point plugged into my Virgin Media homehub (poor wireless) use this a range extender and position it in the garage and plug the Squeezebox touch into it via ethernet ? Consider powerline adapters ?
