I do something very similar in that I add (24bit-96khz) or
(24bit-96khz) (I don't bother with labeling 24bit-44.1kHz and
24bit-48kHz since these files aren't true high resolution) to the end
of the album title using the MP3Tag program. I do not keep the hi-rez
in a separate folder.

When I'm looking for something hi-rez I just search for albums with
"24bit" in the title. Works great.
