bit-perfect output is bit-perfect output . Would like a proper unbiased test or measurements . Until then I'm sceptical Wich is kind of hard a there are gazillions of possible soundcards USB-DAC's and normal spdiff dacs ? You can probably produce vague difference on internal souncards , but audiophiles uses high quality soundcards or USB dacs or external spdiff connected dac's . The usual barrage of audiophile anecdotes would not carry any significant information as usual, as they are all biased . If real evidence (not anecdotes) is produced I would change my mind :) But why bother when you have a squeezebox much cheaper ? then you know that you can have computer independent sound-quality unrelated to whats up on the computer.
