Hmm....I couldn't find that but I will look again... and no..I am not
sure how to start a command window on a mac. :(


I am running my music through ethernet and I am referring to my own
files. 

Most of the files are either AAC/MP3/Apple Lossless. 

I followed Klaus' instructions to disable the handling by the touch for
my files so that the DAC of my amp handles it. Perhaps I did it wrong?
Yes...so I may have "things setup to use a lossy format to send the
data." I am totally unsure of what to disable and what to set to
what..(apologies for the ignorance).

My system:

Music streamed to my Touch via ethernet (thru a powerline product) and
touch connected via digital interconnect to an integrated amp. I tried
using wireless as well but obviously results were worse using
wireless.

LAN cables are cat 6 not cat 5.
