It would work fine if 96000 was used, however, IMO if your music collection is mainly at a 44.1kHz sampling rate (e.g. CD derived) it makes much more sense to use 88200. Little if anything will be gained from using 96000 and the computational complexity of resampling from 44.1 to 96 is an order of magnitude greater than that needed to resample from 44.1 to 88.2.
