Perhaps the "power" event could have had some effect. Going from dirty, consistently sub-optimal voltage power to clean(er), proper voltage power could conceivably have an affect on the devices reproducing the music, mostly in the form of lower current draw. But it's a stretch and does not necessarily correlate with what occurred.
