Argl, please don't be confused by the superfluous mount-command, which is 
unnecessary when covering a complete directory tree!

OpenAFS-directories are not mounted in the usual way, they are just 
available if the OpenAFS-Client is started. This is the configuration 
here:

$ cat /etc/openafs/afs.conf.client
AFS_CLIENT=true
AFS_AFSDB=true
AFS_CRYPT=true
AFS_DYNROOT=Yes
AFS_FAKESTAT=true
