Lol,

Alright two things I want to add:

1. If Jelle didn't unsubscribe the user manually, they could have
harmed the reputation of the mailserver, its not worth quibbling about
their tone, its like a toxic customer, you give them their damn refund
even if they are a d*ck, otherwise you get sued. The user expressed
they didn't want to be subscribed and unsolicited emails are a good way
to end up on a spamlist.

2. Its genuinely sad to see the average mailing list competency has
dropped to this level. For those who do not know, mailing lists have an
unsubscribe header which some email clients will render as a
"unsubscribe" button, but if not, you can easily find how to
unsubscribe through that header, from the email I am replying to:

> List-Unsubscribe: <mailto:[email protected]>

I believe there was a study done a while back on UK students which
found that the majority of students were unable to write a proper email
to an employer. If the younger generation can't even email an employer,
its no wonder that mailing list etiquette is becoming more difficult.
In fact I have seen many projects in the past few years drop their
mailing lists in favour of Discord/Slack or Github discussions, its sad.

Take care,
