This is all the license text I received when I bought it (actual license

"Thank you for your order.
Your license key for Transcribe! (about 20 four-character text groups)
is above.
If you have already downloaded the software from our website for
evaluation then you don't need to download again, you just need to enter
the license key. If you have not yet downloaded the software then you
should do so, from http://www.seventhstring.com/xscribe/download.html
Launch Transcribe! and in the 'License Information' dialog press the
'License Key Info' button, then the 'Enter new license key' button. Use
copy (ctrl-C) and paste (ctrl-V) to copy the license key into the box.
Blank characters like space and newline are ignored.
You should keep this license key in a safe place! You will need it again
if you ever have to re-install Transcribe! for any reason. Back it up on
disk to some location not on your computer, wherever you normally back
up your work. You do back up your work don't you? Every hard disk dies
(or is stolen) one day, so I can promise you with absolute certainty
that anything you don't back up, will one day be lost. You should also
print it out on paper and keep it safe. It would be a bit tedious to
type in the 80 characters or so, but not impossible - in fact it takes
about two minutes.
If you do lose your license key then visit our website
www.seventhstring.com for more information. It may be possible, though I
don't promise, to have it re-sent to the same email address it was
originally issued to. But if you can no longer receive emails sent to
that address then there is probably no way of re-issuing it, you would
have to buy a new one at full price if you want it. So don't lose it.
I will let you know about updates etc by email.
This says nothing about the right to re-distribute and since this is a
binary blob putting it into the official repositories means that it Arch
is forever stuck with gtk3 as long as Transcribe does not port to gtk4.
So please don't ask for that burden to be passed on the distro.
Greetings,
Jelle
