Thanks for the quick response.  Not trying to be combative or anything, but
my question was 12 days ago. =]

Either way, the package has not been updated since the day after it was
submitted (by the original maintainer).  I thought (maybe incorrectly) that
VCS packages were supposed to *generally *keep up with upstream.  This
package (version 2.8.0) is behind the main release (2.8.4).  Upstream is
2.10.x currently.

You make a good point though.  I did not think to actually look up the user
specifically, and I made the assumption that he was inactive.  I will give
him more time. =]
