Earlier this year my club had a visit to Airservices at Melbourne.  They
showed us how their primary radar computer is set to screen out returns that
are travelling less than so many knots.  Despite this, we occasionally saw
vehicles painted travelling  to or from Geelong or up the Western Highway
rise to Ballan.  They said they only occasionally see a flicker from
(untranspondered) gliders at Bacchus Marsh.
