Now that's a good topic.

It would be quite simple to have pitch and flap setting automatically controlled in cruise to fly MacCready.

Keep roll for the pilot to feel the air. As for yaw the ball can be kept in the middle automatically.

In thermals, bank angle hold and airspeed hold would reduce workload. Over-rideable at any time by moving the stick.
