For 1500W solar and 400W wind, probably around US$15,000 after $4.50/W subsidy from California. Replaced the batteries after 8 years. The price seems to matter no more than what any other toy cost. The benefit is more than just financial. During battery replacement was the only time there was no power in the house during that 8 year period. Similar situation in the glider. For example, with two Strobl panels the instrument panel ran for a 750k flight one day and 1100k the next without recharging. Those batteries have only been charged from AC power prior to installation. In my case, that was still solar charging! Jim
