We are running a mobile eftpos machine but have been for years. What type of base station aerial would you recommend ?

Sounds like you are getting some RFI from other equipment in the car. Could be coming in via the power lines to the radio or just radiating and being picked up by the receiver. The problem we are have is with receiving transmissions, a lot of static and a lot of times unreadable and yet transmission is fine. The radios run at 150.2 mHz. These issues are only over a distance of 3-5 km's. We use to get 15 k +. And have been getting worse over the last 6-12 months.
