Re: "fighting about it". We may have, I don't remember when.

I don't understand the second paragraph, unless mksh uses setenv and its
siblings to create the child environment. Surely you already reject the bad
names when importing variables from the environment, so you know when they
occur. You could save them in some table and add them to the child
environment when you create it.
