Well I agree that we should be promoting OOo products, however, sometimes an
independant package can provide a bit more functionality and saves a lot of
messing around.  It just depends what you're doing with the image and what
the user is used to using.

It may be best to slightly reword what you've said Nino to read as follows:

"Although you may prefer to use a special image manipulation
tool (such as GIMP) to obtain professional image results, OOo offers
functionality to modify images too.  See Chapter <Then refer the reader to
the appropriate chapter>"
