Thanks, Claire! I'll fix those files today, though for this release we'll just have to accept the occasional 2-in-a-row Tip/Note/Cautions. They may not look great but should not interfere with comprehension. You're right (ref your note on Ch7) that it's bad (or at least not good) practice, but IMO it's a low-priority thing to fix.

I agree that some pages have too many Tips/Notes/Cautions, some (or most) of which should be incorporated into the text. I've done that for some chapters but not all. It's on the enhancement list for the next big release. Having conspicuous ones identified (as you've done) will help when the time comes.

Have all the chapters been done now, by at least one person? I don't recall seeing Ch 9 or Ch 11, but I may have missed them.

Hi, sorry it took so long reviewing. Got some bad news last night. Anyway,
to crack on:

Ch6 - Fine
Ch5 - copyright dates and published date needs updating
Ch4 - Fine
Ch3 - copyright & Published dates need updating
P8 - Tip followed by Caution & didn't look right
P11 - reconsider use of colour as mentioned in previous email about colour
blindness
P12 - Tip followed by Note. Can they be combined?
P14 - There are a lot of Tips on this page. Is there no way of working them
intot he general writing? The last Tip certainly should be as it mentions
something that is Highly Recommended.
P28 - Check ref to OOo 3.0 is still relevant.

Ch2 - copyright & publishing dates need updating
Ch 1 - Fine

Throughout - some of the images are black and white, some are colour.
 They
should be one or the other for consistency unless it was a fault with the
transfer to pdf.

I agree, the b/w screenshots should be in colour. If you or someone has
time to recreate them using the Windows XP Silver theme (or something
similar), that would be great. They were originally done with the default
WinXP Blue theme which does not go well with the rest of the book, so I
grayscaled them; didn't have time to recreate.
