After sleeping on this, I have concluded that I can see no advantage and
much disadvantage to stopping work on documentation. The disadvantage
would mainly be to the users, who should not suffer because of some
issues regarding the governance of the project (and the name of the
product).

Therefore I personally will carry on as usual, but with a view to making
a transition to LO easier if/when it comes to that. I encourage all of
you to do the same.
