Good point, because if you have a blank slide then there are no place
holders. I didn't know we could create an area for a graphic to be placed on
a slide, I assumed that if you had a blank slide, for instance that doesn't
have a placeholder, you'd have to insert the picture and then move it to
where you want it positioned.
Michele, can you spread some light on this please?
In version 3.2 some of the layouts are pre-configured to contain images.
By selecting one of such layouts, it is sufficient to click on the
placeholder, select the file and you are done.
In version 3.3 it will be a two step process: first you select a layout
with the preferred number and arrangement of placeholders, then for each
placeholder you can allocate a "function" among Text, Picture, Media or
Table). Again, by selecting the Picture "function" a file browser will
open allowing you to select the image you want to put in the placeholder.
In summary what is missing is the explanation that the placeholder comes
from the layout selection (for 3.2).
