I know how to create custom colours and thus match the blue in the new
OOo logo. Do those colours get saved in the template? I thought custom
colours were stored in one of the user settings files and thus would not
(or might not) be copied to another user's machine. Or is that just the
colour definition in the palette, and once applied to a font, line,
fill, whatever, would stay with the object? I confess I really don't
know how that stuff works! And that makes me think we should mention it
in the relevant places in the user guides, to help others who are
similarly confused.

It appears that custom colored fonts are not saved in the
template. I opened the Templates and Document dialog. There I modified
the font color for one styles in one of my templates after clicking the
Edit button. I saved the template as a template and close the dialog.
Since then I have opened the Templates and Documents dialog, clicked the
template, and clicked open. This produced a new document with the new
font color. However, if I open the template file by double clicking, a
new document opens without the new font color. The font color selection
in the style I had changed is Automatic. Strange thing: this happened
with the OOo program with which I created the custom color in the first
place.
