We and our house are fine. No power except a feed from our neighbour's
generator for a few hours a day to keep the fridge cold. Landline
phone out. Mobile network now good after being flakey earlier. City
may run out of water today so we hope the water people & the military
can get it fixed soon. We have bottled water and lots of beer and wine
but not for flushing the toilet. We are considering going to our other
place for awhile, if the road is open. Winds have decreased after last
night's 12+ hours of wild weather,, but rain has increased. Trees down
all over but almost no other damage in our neighbourhood. Do not like
to imagine what it was like closer to the main cyclone path.

Anyway, don't expect to see any work from me in the near future,
though I'll be checking my mail when I can.

Martin, they were surfing on the storm swell at Mackay, 500km south of here.
