Thanks, Jean.

I'd prefer to work on user guides and how-tos. However, FAQs also sound good.

Yes, I am experienced with Writer. I will download Calc, Draw and Base.

I have set up those accounts but I still have to request the role as author.

Hello!

My name's Christina and I'm a technical writing student. I've been an Open Office user for years. I signed up yesterday. I've been looking over some of the documentation and wikis and I'm excited to get started.

Best,
Christina

Welcome! Do you have a preference of what to work on? User guides,
FAQs, how-tos, other? What components of OOo are you familiar with?
Most people have used Writer quite a bit, but few have much experience
with Impress, Calc, Draw, Base.

Youll need accounts at ODFAuthors.org and the OOo wiki. For the former
you'll also need Author permissions, which someone will need to set up
after you have an account.
