I've been offline for most of the past 2 days, so I'm just catching up on 
all the creative activity at Authors. Here are a few of my initial thoughts 
about the proposals for a new chapter front page. (I might have more to say 
tomorrow when I've had some rest and time to think.)

I like Daniel's latest suggestion for the chapter front page.

My objection to the big (top to bottom) logo is that it makes the chapter 
title page too much like the book covers. I think the big logos are perfect 
for the book covers, but not for the chapter title pages.

I agree with Daniel's statement that
I think this now looks different enough from the front cover, but it still
goes well together. It's just a small variation on the same theme.
