I'm working through Editing Objects Part 2. The first 14 screenshots are done with Windows XP (Fisher Price theme) and the last 3 are done with KDE. I'd like to know how big a deal this is. I *don't* have an easy way to fix it because I use Gnome and I'm not eager to redo all the screen shots.

Many chapters in all the books have mixed screenshots (some done on one OS, some on another). Although ideally they would all be from the same OS in any one chapter (as recommended in our style guide or writer's guide), IMO it's not a big deal if they do not match; it's a very low priority item compared with other things that need to be done. Of course, others may have a different opinion.

I see Agnes has offered to redo screenshots when necessary for consistency. Agnes, you're the maintainer, so that is your decision. If you have time to redo the pictures, I'm all in favour. But if you have too many other things to do, and you decide to not do the new screenshots until later, then I think that would be fine too.
