I thing letting them know that Avalon is ready for prime time would be
needed.

Besides, duplication makes newbies having a hard time (ie: deciding which
one to use). Eg: Excalibur has db pooling, so does Turbine.

It seems that the World needs a "Kitten" web server.  Sure, Tomcat would
fulfill all your web server feature needs, but I believe that there are
people who'd like to have something more lighter.  Say, in Java
Programming 101 course, students can implement a db based security module
for the lightweight web server.
