If you don't get anything out of the "Developing with Avalon" documentation, which is the foundation of how components and blocks access each other--then a hello world would be above your head. The Developing with Avalon docs are the foundation to developing with Phoenix/Cornerstone. Truth be told, we have not gotten to the point where we have had time to write the Phoenix docs yet. Have patience--and experiment. Cornerstone has a group of samples in the "demo" app--including a "Hello World" server application. Play with that and expand on it until we can write the docs.
