+1 for plan 2.

Motivation: The important part about Avalon is framework, and it is also there that my main interest lies. An �bercontainer would be nice, but I honestly don't have any problem for it to solve, and thus my interest in building one is minimal. On the other hand, I use the framework interfaces all the time, and getting the contracts for them well defined is thus of major importance for me.

Berin, you state that plan 2 may lead to a lot of "my way is better than your way", and I have two comments to that:

1) Plan 1 does so, too. You only state it implicitely, and I'd like to state that explicitely.

2) Those are issues we have to reach concensus on anyway. Charting a course that will takes us head-on with the big problems we have might be a very good thing.
