I am using NetBeans IDE for more than two years, and have some experience in developing with NetBeans platform... Also tried Eclipse, and didn't like it. Eclipse utilizes SWT which is not the standard for Java programming but Swing is. NetBeans is Swing GUI (platform) which can be easily customized / extended for any needs.
