Not really, they drivers will never be open source because the nVidia cards
use 3rd Party technology and nVidia don't have the right to release specs or
code for this technology.

Secondly, I run the nVidia drivers and have zero problems with aviplay or
any openGL applications. I think perhaps the problem you are having is at
your end.

Waste of time, firstly they can't open source it and secondly they wont care
as they don't write the driver.

Considering nVidia's chipsets are aimed much more at Home users than at

I think ATI need to make some decent hardware before I'll go anywhere near
their cards.

nVidia hardware rocks, their drivers work. I'm happy.
