Funny you mention fixing problems. Since you've given a total of 0 such
problems and 0 information to help figure out why you're having the problem.
You obviously dont want to fix your problems so why are you wasting your time
and the mailing list's bandwidth with this banter?

Again not volunteering any information, just some comment meant to incite.

Debian unstable compiles and configures avifile cvs and released versions
just perfectly fine. What distro are you using and what versions of
autoconf/automake and compiler? It would help if you actually gave some
info instead of generalized statements about something not working. Obviously
if it was such a small number of people who couldn't get it to compile there
would be more than one person (you) bringing up that fact. The only people
who do have problems usually are using a non-standard compiler (2.96) or
outdated/nonstandard autoconf/automake environments.
What exactyl in the configure is breaking for you? You give no info but only
bitch. It's annoying and boring and a waste of bandwidth.

Luck has nothing to do with it.

Glad you're not a representative of mplayer or for that matter, other
software project maintainers. I'm sure they would not be pleased with such
behavior. And it is poor behavior.

Check for what? You've given no information at all. It's obvious that it runs
fine on a majority of avifile users computers. Dont be so naive as to thing
that your computer is the representative of the majority of people. go back
and attempt again and dont bother writing crap like this until you have
something worthwhile to give. Then again if i were Zdenek i wouldn't care
what you tried to post anymore, it would just be deleted.
