While installing the binaries of avifile-0.6.0 i encountered exactly the same error as someone did sometime before.. Iam not able to open the *.avi file after installation..

I tried out all the suggestions given in the faq section like downgrading to SDL 1.1.6 and including qt and win32 lib directories in ld.so.conf etc.. nothing works.. The *.avi file iam trying to run is compressed in divx format.. I also have win32 and divx4linux installed.. Does anyone know what to do? Thanks in advance..
