I don't think so. I get the lines: ... Using DirectShow codec: wmv8ds32.ax ... Loaded DLL driver divxa32.acm ... in the output from aviplay. > Please try to use this one: > > http://avifile.sourceforge.net/wmv8ds32.ax That differed from the DLL of the same name that I was using, but it still segfaulted on the example movie I mentioned. Should I try a different "divxa32.acm", too? The version that I've got installed on my Linux partition is a bit older than what I've apparantly put on my Windows drive since. > Indeo is buggy - it's overwritting memory and it's inside the > codec so - maybe you could ask Intel to fix their buggy codec :) > > I know that and I would probably remove encoding support with Indeo > completely - but it works for some users thus I'm leaving it in. It works for me most of the time. Which codec would you suggest for recording? I can't do DivX with the highest quality in realtime, and unencoded (or even HuffYUV encoded) video is a bit too much data for my system. --- Roy Stogner _______________________________________________ Avifile mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://prak.org/mailman/listinfo/avifile
