hi/2 all... Running avifile cvs of today... Well, aviplay is running ok, but the codecs still are a bit crazy, example: i have a few trailers encoded with divx 5.0.2 (windows version), and when i put them to run with aviplay, the codec choosed by aviplay is the ffmpeg one, good, real fast but without postprocessing. What is curious is that divx 5.0 is before ffmpeg in the codecs prefs, but aviplay just ignores that and goes directly to choose ffmpeg opendivx, but sometimes, if i play other trailers, divx 5.0 is chosen and used (i didn't changed the codecs order, it's all aviplay way of doing things). Am i missing anything here? , i discovered that the order doesn't really matter, since divx 5.0 is almost all the time ignored and ffmpeg used, when in theory both should play all backward divxs.. and yes, they all are 5.x... could you give me some light on this one zdenek? Now a feaure request, could you please (when you had the time) add deinterlacing to aviplay ? since some divx come interlaced, deinterlace becomes a must, mplayer and xine already have it, but i like aviplay best to play divx movies (sub legends below movie, black border, and other things make me prefer aviplay).
ps, below there is a small cut from aviplay konsole to ilustrate my point on the error... *************************** libavcodec: CPU flags: mmx mmxext 3dnow <Codec keeper> : FFMPEG OpenDivX video decoder created <renderer> : SDL Video driver: x11 <renderer> : Detected nVidia GLX driver <renderer> : If you need to clear two lowest lines set shell variable AVIPLAY_NVIDIA_ENABLE <DPMS module> : Disabling DPMS <renderer> : Created surface: 512x256 16 bits <renderer> : Creating YUV overlay 512x256, fourcc 0x32315659 (YV12) <renderer> : XV port: 63 <renderer> : XV attribute: XV_DOUBLE_BUFFER GS <0, 1> = 1 <renderer> : XV attribute: XV_COLORKEY GS <0, 16777215> = 2110 <renderer> : XV attribute: XV_AUTOPAINT_COLORKEY GS <0, 1> = 1 <renderer> : Loading subfont: "-*-Arial-medium-r-*-*-*-360-*-*-*-*-iso8859-2" <Codec keeper> : MPEG Layer-1,2,3 audio decoder created <aviplay> : Will try audio renderers in this order: SDL,OSS,noaudio <audio renderer> : src fmt=0x55 2ch 44100Hz 0b 14000B/s balign=1 cbsz=12 <audio renderer> : dst fmt=0x01 2ch 44100Hz 16b 176400B/s balign=4 cbsz=0 <Player> : Player started <Avi ReadV> : w:512 h:-256 bpp:12 0x32315659 - 1:4 (0x81cb238) <Avi ReadV> : w:512 h:-256 bpp:12 0x32315659 - 2:4 (0x81cbfd8) <Avi ReadV> : w:512 h:-256 bpp:12 0x32315659 - 3:4 (0x81cc460) <Avi ReadV> : w:512 h:-256 bpp:12 0x32315659 - 4:4 (0x817f320) This file was encoded with DivX500 Build410 *************************** this one was cut from .avm/aviplay which ilustrates that divx5.0 IS before ffmpeg opendivx. btw a better way to handle codecs/decoders would be greatly appreciated (like be aple to set properties for each one, about , etc) *************************** codecs_audio MPEG Layer-1,2,3,FFMPEG AC3,FFMPEG MPEG Layer-3,MS ADPCM,ADPCM,PCM,Voxware Metasound,ACELP(r).net DirectShow,ACELP(r).net acm,Windows Media Audio,Intel Music Coder,IMA ADPCM,WMA dec,Win32 MSN,Win32 GSM,GSM,Lernout & Hauspie,Win32 Vorbis decoder,Vorbis decoder,MAD MPEG Layer-III,ALaw,uLaw,AC3 pass-through codecs_video DivX5.0,FFMPEG DivX5,FFMPEG OpenDivX,DivX4.0,FFMPEG DivX ;-),XviD,Uncompressed YV12,Uncompressed RGB,Uncompressed YUY2,OpenDivX 3.11 compatible decoder,FFMPEG M$ MPEG-4 v2,FFMPEG Windows Media Video 7,FFMPEG Motion JPEG,FFMPEG PinnacleS PIM1,PinnacleS PIM1,FFMPEG U263,FFMPEG I263,I263,DivX ;-) VKI DirectShow,DivX ;-) DirectShow,DivX ;-) VKI (Low-Motion),DivX ;-) VKI (Fast-Motion),DivX ;-) Low-Motion,DivX ;-) Fast-Motion,Windows Media Video 7 DirectShow,Windows Media Video 8 DirectShow,Microsoft MPEG-4 DirectShow,Microsoft MPEG-4,Win32 DivX4 4.0 DirectShow,Win32 DivX4 DirectShow 3.11 compatible decoder,Win32 DivX4 4.0 Beta Codec,Win32 XviD MPEG-4 Video Decoder,Win32 XviD MPEG-4 Codec,ATI VCR-1,ATI VCR-2,ASUS V1 - crash,ASUS V2,Brooktree(r) ProSummer Video (32),Brooktree(r) YUV411 Raw,Brooktree(r) YVU9 Raw,DVSD (MainConcept),Indeo(r) Video 5.0 DirectShow,Indeo(r) Video 5.04,Indeo Video 4.1,Indeo Video 3.1/3.2 decoder,Morgan Motion JPEG,MS Motion JPEG,PicVideo PVW2,PicVideo MJPG,PicVideo PIMJ,AVID Codec (AVRn),TechSmith Screen Capture (TSCC),Huffyuv lossless codec [HFYU],VP31(r) Direct Show,VP31(r) Compressor,3ivX,Cinepak Video,Motion Wavelets,AVI Mszh,AVI Zlib,M261,MS RLE,TrueMotion 2.0 Decompressor,Microsoft Video 1,OS Motion JPEG *************************** best regards and keep up the good work, i know you are all alone in developing avifile:( come on developers out there, give the man a hand... -- Paulo Dias [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] icq: 15544538 WebProgrammer/WebDesigner _______________________________________________ Avifile mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://prak.org/mailman/listinfo/avifile
