Hi, due to my stupidness I have an avi-file without the index (I burned a 700MB file on a 650MB disc and didn't recognize any error messages, and well, it had stopped at 659 MB :-( )
Well, actually only the very end of the movie is missing (only most of the text, that prints all actors, etc. ) and I would like to create a new index and burn a new CD. Unfortunality I can't convice any program (avirecompress, transcode, mencoder and virtualdub) to do this. When I play this avi using aviplay, it first creates an index and plays the video fine then, but if I load this video into avirecompress, it also creates a new index, but only recognizes the sound up to about the half of the video time -- and as you can imagine, so do all of the other video-tools. Even if I specifiy that the sound-track has the same lenght as the video track, it doesn't help, when whatching the video, I get an audio stream EOF in the middle of the movie.
