Does only recording not work for you?
Can you watch TV with avicap while not recording?
Did you configure avicap, did you set up your bttv device and the input etc?
Did you use kv4lsetup before starting avicap to setup v4linux correctly?
Do other avi files play correctly? Which playing tool did you use?
Please tell me also your kernel version, bttv driver version, xfree version,
your graphics (not tv) cvard, are you using any special xfree drivers for your
gfx card?
