Well I'm not the inventor of the licence - thus the library is LGPL, and GUI stuff (aviplay player) is GPL (I assume it's because it's using Qt so there is no other way anyway) Btw main part is ffmpeg - if you need just decompression - ffmpeg might be just enough for you - and its LGPL -- .''`.
