Hello,

 I've just subsribed myself to this list, in the hope to get some help here. I
have set myself the goal of adding avi capturing support to qastrocam (see
http://3demi.net/astro/qastrocam/doc/). The program is meant for amateur
astronomers using a webcam. Since the individual frames will be processed
later on, only lossless codecs are suitable for this use.

It already works using raw I420 video, but there the story ends (for now?).
The other codecs I would like to use are:
* raw RGB
* raw Y800
* huffyuv
* LCL

My problems are:
1) For raw RGB, I don't know what fourcc I should use,

2) For Y800, if I try to make a CImage of the data, I get an error: <CImage> :
Cannot convert to 24 bit image from unimplemented Y800 0x30303859
If Y800 is really unimplemented, It shouldn't be much work to add it, right?
I'm willing to make that change myself.

3) For huffyuv and LCL, the codecs are not found. I downloaded the DLLs and
put them in /usr/lib/win32, but no use. The codec keeper also keeps saying "6
plugins found", shouldn't that number increase after I add the DLL?

Thanks in advance for any help received,
Hans.

PS: I'm using Debian/Sid
PPS: The latest news on the project page dates back to last year, I hope it
isn't dead?
