Well - sometimes I forget to send answer. > I asked a question a week ago after joining and have seen 3 or 4 > questions since .. all have gone un-answered. See the header formats.h for more detailed explanation. Basicaly FourCC is either 0 or 3 - more in the header file in avifile include directory. > > > > 2) For Y800, if I try to make a CImage of the data, I get an error: <CImage> : > > Cannot convert to 24 bit image from unimplemented Y800 0x30303859 > > If Y800 is really unimplemented, It shouldn't be much work to add it, right? > > I'm willing to make that change myself. Yes it should be simple - see the conversion code in lib/common/image.cpp Basicaly Y800 should be monochrome format so you should just need to add some reasonable defaults to UV planes. > > 3) For huffyuv and LCL, the codecs are not found. If you are using CVS version and the movies is not played properly it's a bug and you should try to create small file and send me link to this file for download. Also check if ffplay or mplayer playes the file properly. > > plugins found", shouldn't that number increase after I add the DLL? It's just one plugin for Win32 dlls - but eventually I may try to add some extra debug messages to show how many dll are located recognized or missed - if I'll not forget about that.... > > PS: I'm using Debian/Sid > > PPS: The latest news on the project page dates back to last year, I hope it > > isn't dead? Not realy dead - but not that active either - I'm being kept permanently busy with other tasks for quite some time. But at least CVS version is kept updated and from time to time some new missed features are added - lately substitle are a little bit better displayed so it will try to fit them better. -- .''`.
