I have started to use a Mac for the first time. A sort of Geeky mid-
life crisis thing I expect. Anyway, I want to gather some
microcontroller development tools and decided to start with the AVR. I
have used these in the past and like them a lot. I am charting my
progress here:

I would be pathetically grateful if any of you could take a look and
offer any words of encouragement or advice for using any of these
tools on a Mac or links to other information that I might have missed.
I have looked at pages like these:

And I have found the graphical programmer AVRFuses
http://www.vonnieda.org/software/avrfuses
which acts as a front end for avrdude.
So far, it has been a bit of a struggle to sort some stuff out. Seems
I was spoiled badly by tools like AVR Studio, CodeVision and WinAVR.
