Thanks for the quick reply, I need to confirm some stuff though.

True that im using 3dsMax2009 and COLLADAMaxNextGen  ( which is a bit
freaky since i didn't tell what i was using. )

Anyway, as you said earlier i should use 3dsMax11 via ColladaMax3.05B.
I'm a bit confused because i checked the release history of 3dsMax and
what comes after 3dsMax 9 is 3dsMax 2008 (which would be 3dsMax 10)
making 3dsMax2009 as 3dsMax11 or did you mean i should be using
3dsMax2008 with ColladaMax3.05B?

Another set of questions, if i opt to use Maya, which versions should
i use? Currently i have Maya 2009 but i don't know what COLLADA
exporter i should use. What other versions of Maya aside from Maya
2008 should i use and their corresponding COLLADA exporter plugins?
