Also, please let us know what was in the file.  Was it just mesh?  Did
it have bones?  Animations?
I use DAE because I need to use bones and animation, do I have other
options?
MD2 also does animation, but it's baked vertex animation so the file
size gets huge, and parsing it takes forever..
